Bands SIXTY WATT BAYONETS/MIDIMIDIS/NEON HIGHWIRE/ELLIOT TO HONG KONG
Club Velocity based in Reading, mainly promotes their life changing magic in that town. They have been promoting for far too long ;giving early gigs to the likesof Bloc Party, Glasvegas, The Cribs, The Rifles, Pete And The Pirates and several others. Club Velocity shows are high charged-life affirming-and business gets done.
Sixty Watt Bayonets Hailing from Reading, they number four. They were the only Reading band to play Reading/Leeds Festival 2009. The band play super sassy female fronted popcore, think The Gossip, Blondie, Bikini Kill and Yeah Yeahs. They released their debut record in July and the press roared
"Penny Bayonet’s powerful vocals drive the band’s sound, underpinned by a tight disco-punk stomp, that draws equally on fuzzy, eccentric garage rock." - Rock Sound
"the ability to write songs that make you want to shimmy your ass, wave your fists and shake your head like a rabid Chihuahua fresh out of a washing machine." - Kerrang!
Championed by Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and Rodney Bingheimer (KROQ in LA)
Awesome live band, Penny (School teacher) by day spends most of the gig in the pit. Will bayonets' uncle is Rick Buckler from The Jam

Neon Highwire Offer up everything from precise lean pop reminiscent of Devo, to sweltering builds that speak as much as towering electronic greatness as Justice or Daft Punk, as they do with post punk textures and passion as Mogwai and Sonic Youth.Championed by 6 Music

Elliot To Hong Kong Four teenagers who produce a delightful high energy post nu-rave punk noise, with cowbells and a bag load of ideas. Think Crystal Castles and Friendly Fires. Rod Da Bank (Radio 1) is a fan. Very 2009!
