I'm LP, I know Sean from life, and a few others from cyberlife. Not a musician, but formerly a substance abuse therapist with a number of rock artists. Gave that up to be a forensic psychologist, and having left on a gurney with no desire to look back, I'm a sociologist and writer.

Hello to all.

Hello everyone! Somewhere, I have some old Organ magazine from.... gosh! Years ago! Buying an Organ cassette comp called Goosebumps happened about the same time I think. Still got the cassette, but now sans inlay. Sea Nymphs and Tabitha Zu are on there.
I'm Motorhead Malc because just like it says on MySpace, 'as named by a bunch of little 'erberts in Walthamstow.' A school nickname resurrected. It defines me as much as the fact I used to travel at that time, in full headbanger gear, on the back of my mate's Vespa; 'Just to fuck with their heads!'
I'm glad to see The Organ taking full advantage of this amazing IT age! I'm very glad to be here.

oh yes the days when we would sell zines and tapes at gigs, hundreds of them - hello Malc, welcome to the forum, and welcome LP tooooooo, welcome to Your forum... ah yes there was some good bands on that Goosebumps tape - Mint 400, Cardiacs and such - I shall have to dig out a spare cover or tracklisting, I recall being quite pleased with the fish on the front of that cover - a none stop operation of handmade zines and whirling tape machines and now here we are at 1.00am on a Sunday morning years later still skint and up to ur neck in demos and working out what to play on this week's radio show just so LP can hear in Boston USA instantly rather than only Malc being able to hear via a tape we sold him for a quid in the Walthamstow Royal Standard somewhere around 1994.. don't ask why we do this, we just do... i need a music abuse therapist

I'm sure we have some somewhere... Right, time to get tonight's radio show together, looks like we're going to get soaked again dragging ourselves down to the studio in London bridge - so you better be listening, this new BLack Elk album is certainly getting played, throwing new things in to the CD player right now, these shows don't Just happen. On at 9.00pm UK time every Sunday, you can catch up on 104.4FM here in London, or worldwide via the web and www.resonancefm.com - and never mind what it says on the schedule, it's me this week with a whole bag of things, Marina's Other Rock Show is next week, we take turns, they still haven't worked that one out at Resonance

Hello

I'm afraid I crashed in on one thread, not realising how many strands and threads there were. Well worth lurking for a while. I'm Sam Saunders, I do a bit of writing for fun and sometimes go to gigs. I work in Leeds. I can claim my bus pass next year.

I recently enjoyed the Volcano! CD

Evening All...

Just stumbled across the Forum so thought I'd say hi.

I play in a band, we're called O, yeah O ....not zero!! :?

This year has been mostly about Animal Collective, TVOTR, Volcano, Dragons of Zynth, Ponytail, my new addiction to African soul compilations and Battles at ATP.

The Wire is best thing I've ever seen on TV.

There you go, hello.

Well welcome along, have a good gig on Saturday with O

- this year has been many things, so many really good albums... I think it may have been FIGHT LIKE APES and FUCKED UP and MOHA and RUDE MECHANICALS and LITTLE JACKIE but then if you ask me that again in another half hour I'll contradict that...

Heading for 2009 here, TRAIL OF THE DEAD album just landed, can't say I'm their bigggggggest fan but sounds decent on first play, new ENABLERS album is sounding good, SHRAG, AXIS OF PERDITION

Cheers man!! Gotta agree, I remember this time last year thinking that 2007 was one of the best years for music but this year has totally surpassed it. Atp was incredible as was Holy Fuck at the night and day (not as great w/Foals), and loads of new great bands To The Bones, Dananananakroyd, Vessels, Pulled Apart By Horses.

Been a top year. Looking forward to new Animal Collective and Fennesz albums next year and there's been a few others mentioned as well but it's my last day at work today and I just been in the pub all lunch time and can't remember them now!!

Have a good one Organ peeps see ya 2009!!!!!!!! (or maybe see ya sat night at dublin castle yuk yuk!!!)

xx

oooooo is your lorry big and red? or is it dark and black, I'm Bella, hello everyone, I help put the new Organ London gig guide together and secretly work in a North London venue bar but I'm not telling you where... I like riding in lorries, Enablers records, people who send in their gig information and make things easy for me and I like loud bass guitar, today I have stolen Sean's MiAmi CD, I like it!

Welcome everyone, and Bella, I don't know if his lorry is big and red, but I can see why you like Mi Ami's new CD. Best of all, it has a wonderful title, Watersports, so I personally would give it a go based on that alone.

Right now, I especially like Y Diwigiad - Welsh rap with lyrics that are interesting, surprising melodies in strange places, infinitely more creative than the same rhythm, same lyrics, same ranting, same misogyny, same sameness that We have in rap over here. I want infinite difference, creativity, perceptions - I guess that would be.... art!

And I like Fran Rodger's The Hardy Tree very much... I think I've gone off-topic...
