Hello Sean, Marina....long time....since I was at a Cardiacs gig or chatted with either of you, probably 04 or 05 at the Astoria. Was in Kensal Road earlier this year though, visiting my mum. Are you still in that vicinity?

Anyway, this is my first thread on this forum, which surprisinlgy I've only just found today....very strange.

Anyway, back in the good old days of pronk at The Monarch I remember seeing Map. Now I've looked all over the net & I can't find anywhere, not on youtube or myspace, a playable version of Ich Bin en kugelscheiber.

I've got it on that red cassette bought at a gig of course but...

Can anyone help please?

James (a k a Stoneage Dinosaurs over there on Mares Nest as well)

Hello James, Ich Bin en kugelscheiber came out as a 10" vinyl EP here on ORG Records somewhere around 1994, limited edtion of 1000, never on CD and back then we had no real internet or anything so I doubt if you'll find it on line. Not even sure if we have a spare copy now, I've a feeling there's a box of test pressings somewhere here though, if I do find one I shall stick your name on it if vinyl is any good to you... And yes, we're still in West London

Thanks Sean, that's a very kind offer, but I've already got the Doesn't Always Get 10" and the You Are Here cassette. I wasn't been very clear, what I'm after, is a version of it in digital form somehwere. But now realise after reading your post that it will probably be hard to find.
It was on Map's myspace page a couple of years ago but not anymore.

The hunt for a digital verison of Kugelschreiber on the internet in Mp3 or some other playable format on the net continues then :O)

Hi James,
Ich Bin Ein Kugelschreiber can be found at http://crayolalectern.com/listen.cfm
It is the first time to my knowledge it has appeared online.
Those tapes are well rare now! The version of Kugelschreiber on the tape is a slightly slower version than the Doesn't Always Get EP version (which is the one available.) Both of course kick "pronk" ass!

RoTa is the Saturday(?) afternoon free event at Notting Hill Arts Club, much mentioned here on Organart over the last few years.

Glad to hear that the You Are Here tape is still available in the shops and finally making money for a good cause!
