Organ-related but non-music

Organ-related but non-music

So, then, perhaps this should be moved elsewhere, but...

How great is it that there is now an Organ Art review section? And not only visual art, but aural/written art, that most precious of all arts, the art of language!

Wonderful, just spent a while re-reading the archives of Organ Art reviews and alerts and descriptions. All tremendously good. Wonderful signposts and now I want to go to Oblong.

Definitely worth checking out, thank you.

Ah yes, non-music, we stripppppped out all the music clutter and did away with it all so the wood could be seen without all the trees in the way... All the bites of art and all the bits that don't involve rock bands and do involve paint brushes and...

The main pages are still as cluttered with music as ever, music is still taking up most of our times and words and space (ans will continue to do so I guess) but we just felt the need for a music-free version on the side....

Glad You liked it... we shall see how it evolves...

i'm really not sure it needs to be all split up like that, not sure what the point is... isn't it all art anyway?

Oh yes, it is all art, and it is all mixed in together in the Organ. Lots of mixture of aural and visual...and maybe someday olfactory art... that should be reviewed...something I did a lot of in My day... I miss it, a story for another day.. but it's still altogether. There's just an extra link so that one can find all the visual art reviews and news together.

A bit like the ever-helpful archived reviews, or archived interviews... all smashed in together, and yet retrievable too.

Well Organart started out as an art collective of painters, animators, designers back in 1989... Organ as a zine had been around since 86, but the idea of Organart was born in '89... some of you who've been around since the early days may recall the organart logo on t-shirts and backs of album covers and such, animation, artshows and things, before music took over completely.... Organ and Organart has always evolved... indeed issue 14 of the paper Organ was nothing but art... one Organ was just printed on a t-shirt, another was painted on a wall... I can see the argument for not spliting things up but then not everyone wants the music clutter, those who do have the main pages.. those who don't have the art page.... Some people around here like the idea of us getting back to that idea of the collective of painters, animators, writers....

it certainly will... there's music reviews, news and more everyday, have you seen the list of album reviews so far from 2009?
