2: F*CKED UP – Son The Father (Matador) – How can we put this without being over the top? Opening track from what probably is the album of the year from one of the most important bands on the planet right now. The Album – The Chemistry Of Modern Life – came out last week, a rush of new wave proper punk rock and motorik motion, of lyrics to bite on... 3: RUDE MECHANICALS – Strange Times (RIM) – Ah yes I know, again, but I can't resist Miss Roberts and her wonderful band and their album Glass Eye (out on Sexton Ming's RIM label) is pure radio friendly (well in terms of Resonance FM). Twitching jazz and body fluids and strange contradictions, alien mice and clever theatrics and the real art of performance. 4: MOHA – Karibcore (Rune Grammofon) – The rather rewarding Norwegian avant free-jazz/rock improv outfit's new album - One Way Ticket The Candyland – just landed here, not out until November 17th but we couldn't wait to dive in to their structured dark-edged scuzz and bendy noise and maybe a little more structured than last time out, that's no bad thing – www.myspace.com/themoha or www.runegrammofon.com

5: MAYORS OF MIYAZAKI – Hot Kids (self release) – The London band have a rather fine self released album out around about now. Tight twisty challenging rewarding hardcore new wave progressive post-punk from a band who's previous demo records have featured lots around here. They play a Duel in The Deep night at Catch in Shoreditch, East London on October 14th - www.mayorsofmiyazaki.com

6: SEA NYMPHS – Eating A Heart Out: John Peel Session - Sea Nymphs recorded a very magical session a very magical session for John Peel back in 1998, it was a wonderful day down at the BBC in Maida Vale, we were there, we had just released a Sea Nymphs single on our label Org. Sea Nymphs were Tim and Sarah Smith along with William D Drake, three parts of Cardiacs. We've put a small blog up about the day on our My Space page and you can find Sea Nymphs details via www.cardiacs.com. Seemed like a perfect way to celebrate John Peel tonight

7: MAYBESHEWILL – This Time Last Year (Field) – Hard-edged post rock flavoured euphoric riff 'n glitch and a new release from the Leicestershire band and a new split 12" (with Her Name Is Calla) that sees the band starting to move on from their rather obvious last album – www.myspace.com/maybeshewont or www.field-records.com

8: LITTLE TROPHY – They Be Ten A Penny (Toy Solder) – Brighton's Toy Solder record have a rather fine new compilation CD album, 18 tracks and 18 relatively new underground/alternative bands – lots of good stuff including Bars, Epidime, Everyone To The Anderson... Little Trophy are favourites here at Organ, this is a new 50 second track that has all the spiky poppy (slightly thrashy, slightly Cardiac-ish) very English new wave things they do in those 50 seconds www.littletrophy.com or www.myspace.com/littletrophy or www.toysoldierrecords.co.uk

9: THE BOBBY McGEES – Treasure Hunting (Cool For Cats) – The Kabeedies have a rather fine new inspiring single out, they're from Norwich and they do things the right way and they make real proper alternative DIY indie pop, the kind of thing John Peel would have loved and played lots. 10: AIDS WOLF - Tied-Up Paper (Skin Graft) – The extremely hardboiled Canadian band have a new album out right now (on one of the very best labels in the world), this is all very very good news for gloriously difficult yelping new-wave no-wave high-pitched awkwardly-twitching extreme noise lovers. 11: ORIGINAL SILENCE – Argument Left Hanging, Rubber Cement (Smalltown Superjazz) – "The Second Original Silence" album is here, out this week and more of their hardboiled jazz or free-jazz or pre-punk or Ornette Coleman for Black Flag fans. 16: JOANNA ROBERTSON – Gardener (Texture) – delicate folk-flavoured singer songwriter from London, she has an album out called The Lighter and she was probably on stage playing the John Peel Day gig that Damnably were putting on at Catch in Shoreditch while we were playing this fine track. 17: GLOBO – Spoilt Victorian Child (Comuse) – And we really couldn't let our celebration of John Peel day go by without some reference to The Fall. Globo have recorded the whole of the classic Fall album This Nation's Saving Grace with various guest vocalists and collaborators. The album is out on 24th November – a radical and respectful reworking from the English electronic dance outfit Spoilt features vocals from Mia Vigar – more from www.comuse.co.uk

18: SEA NYMPHS – Lily White's Party: John Peel Session – The most beautiful Sea Nymphs track of all and this very special version came with all kinds of recordings of Tim's cats and adventures via the BBC Radiophonic Workshop such - see track six for more details.
