Bill Drake Xmas gigs, KNIFE WORLD album and things....

WILLIAM D. DRAKE will be at the rather good Club Hell, at the Cross Kings in Kings Cross, London on 19th December, and if that isn’t enough, the rather fine cat-head shaped GIANT PAW are also on the bill. (a one time Cardiac and a one time Creaming Jesus frontman on the same bill). WILLIAM D. DRAKE will also be supporting WIZARDS OF TWIDDLY at Zanzibar in Liverpool on December 21st .... And talking of Cardiacs related things, the KNIFE WORLD album has just landed here, that’s Kavus and his new project – he of Cardiacs and Guapo and stuff... Sounds exceptionally good on first listen, as different as you’d expect a Kavus album to be, with lots of hints of things you know him from and some they you wouldn’t. No release news yet, labels and release details are still being sorted out so he says. well now a weekend with that knife World album and it rather impressive, and far less obvious than you'd maybe expect it to be, full of prog rock adventure in the real sense - although someone else arriving during the big epic at the end said "who's that it sounds a bit like Cardiacs" - it does and it doesn't

We'll have to see if he's ready to have it played on the radio... I was kind of it to be good but far too Cardiacs to really like, it isn't though, there's a Cardiacs feel in there, how can there not be, but no, he hasn't cloned Cardiacs.. as much Guapo in there and... anyway, yoo early to talk about it yet, no label or release sorted out yet,
