Hello, allo, Guttentag?

Enjoying the sunshine? We hope so.

Just wanted to say that I've been following/reading the Organ Art website for a few months now, no actually closer to a year. Fuck me doesn't time fly when you're constantly looking forward to your next gig? Any way I find it very re-assuring to know that there are people out there who actually give a shit about the music and what it means, and for this I thank you. To be perfectly honest I have avoided getting involved because of some of your views. The thing is I agree with all of them totally, its just that my band is still a little wet behind the ears and we made some wrong decisions in the beginning. Getting ourselves involved in some big fucking rip off gigs and BOTB contests. Shit man, there are some soul-less money grabbing mother fuckers out there.

Of course I realize that everyone needs to earn a living, but some of us piss poor struggling musicians are getting fucked left, right and centre.

I started this band coz I fucking love playing and was sick of hearing the shite that the majority of the population think is the best fucking music ever. eg Coldplay, Kaiser Cunts et al. What do we have to do to show the world that they are listening to the wrong stuff? That there are literally hundreds of amazing bands and artists out there? Fuck knows.

For now though, I live safe in the knowledge that we own this. We know right from wrong, good from shit. Thanks Organ, I was lost but now I'm found.

Well hello Glenn and welcome... always good to know people are reading the pages or listening to the shows... Sorry if we sound like we're shouting sometimes but music has mattered for far too long around these parts... music, the making of it, the putting on of gigs, have been the major part of our lives for longer than a very long thing... and we hate to see bands who are only just starting out and who don't know how things should work being taking advantage of by those who really don't seem to care that much, All these battle of the band pay to play numbers through the door means you win rip off events that seem to be about anything but music and are all just about exploiting fresh new young bands who don't know the score - anyway, hope you've got through the crap and worked some of it out now, good luck with the band and welcome aboard the good ship Organ

Hello everyone.

My name is Johnny Kowalski. I'm a musician and have played in bands of varying merit for years. I currently play acoustic punk gypsy gubbins, often on my own, sometimes with a violin player. If anyone is interested, my music can be found at www. myspace.com/johnnykowalskirocks.

Although the bullshit of the corporate music industry angers me as much as anyone else, I think this is possibly the best age ever to to be a fan of music. As long as you have a broadband connection and a bit of suss, you lead an endless john peel style existence, checking out weird, wonderful, obscure music. Which is what makes organ such a good site........

We are Moose Factory and we aim to promote the best in upcoming new and unusual music in East London and Leeds. Every event mixes up genres but in a complementary manner. We like surprises, as long as they're good surprises. We have a monthly residency at the George Tavern (373 Commercial Road, E1 0LA) every 1st Sunday afternoon (3.30-7.30) and these are usually FREE! We will be starting a monthly residency in Leeds from January 2010 so stay tuned for that. Any artists (probably most artists that join Organ :)) that think they would fit the bill and want to perform at one of our events, do get in touch via myspace.

Cheers!Image
